Master Blenders

We take our tea blending very seriously. It’s a big responsibility, but our blenders are up to the task!

Our passion and expertise has been passed down for generations, and it’s something we’re really proud of. We have only nine master blenders who are responsible for every type of tea and infusion that Twinings produces.

Yes, it’s a big job, but they love it.

They travel to remote parts of the world to find the very best ingredients and apply rigorous quality controls at each stage of sourcing and blending to ensure each blend is perfect. In fact, the tea for every blend is tasted at least 15 times between the plantation and packing of the final product.

So, you can be sure that wherever you are in the world, whatever Twinings blend you are drinking, it is guaranteed to have the same wonderful flavour, colour and aroma every time. We thank our master blenders’ tastebuds for that – they can drink up to 800 cups of tea a day or 4,000 a week. All in the name of tea perfection!
